Discussion:
There was discussion on the Local Landmark Designation Request Form and the numbering on the form. City Administrator Tom Ourada stated that the numbering and formating on the form will be revised.

4.B.  Discussion on the Historic Preservation Commission public information meeting that will take place on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 at the Crete Carrier Room 
Discussion:
The plan for the Sunday, October 22nd, 2025 Historic Preservation Commission public information meeting at 2:00 p.m. is the following:

Commission members Tom King, Thom Reeves and Janet Jeffries stated that they will arrive at the Community Room to set up at 1:00 p.m. (classroom style) on Sunday. 
Thom Reeves stated he had planned on drinks but was not sure on what the numbers would look like. 
Janet Jeffries asked if City Administrator and Director of the Historic Preservation Commission Tom Ourada would ask Media Specialist Jenn Lampila to make flyers for Sunday's event. Jeffries stated she would stop by to pick them up and distribute them around town. Jeffries also asked Ourada if he could ask Lampila to record the information meeting on Sunday. 
Ourada stated that there would be small plates, napkins, lemonade and cups for the event. 
Tom King stated his wife has baked cooked for the event and Thom Revees will help with drinks. 
Ourada will also ask IT Director Mike Kalkwarf or GIS Technician/IT Emerson Aschoff to be there to help get things ready for the presentation. 

Historic Preservation Commission Chair Tom King will MC the meeting, introduce everyone and let people know there are refreshments. 
City Administrator and Director of the Historic Preservation Commission, Tom Ourada will provide a slide show presentation on City of Crete's Historic Preservation Commission formation and eligibility and City Ordinance. There will be printed out sheets with that information. 
Janet Jeffreis will provide a PowerPoint presentation on the commission's background and history of Crete. 
It was mentioned that Ourada or commission member Scott Kuncl could also provide information on the economic benefits of the Certified Local Government such as tax credits, micro TIF and grants. 
Jeffries stated that there could be another presentation on the history of downtown Crete and she could let people know that would be part 2. 
Some of the handouts to print out were the following:
-City Ordinance 2154 Historic Preservation Act 
-The page on City of Crete website City Government Historical Preservation Commission. 
- City of Crete website News Update City Seeks members for inaugural Historic Preservation Commission (Commission duties) 
-  There will be a sign-in sheet for people to put down their name and contact information. (This is also documentation needed for the annual report) 

King also shared with the commission members some of the things that the City of Lincoln has on their Historic Preservation page. King also stated that later on one of the community presentations could be at the Isis Theatre and a possible collaboration with the Blue River Arts Council. 

King asked if the other people present for the meeting could please introduce themselves:
Parks and Recreation Director Liz Cody, Community Assistance Director Marilyn Schacht, Police Captain Jon Pucket, and Finance Director Wendy Thomas. 

Pucket mentioned that it would be good to know what is important about those houses and buildings and the economic impact. Cody stated that she has enjoyed presentations on CLGs. 

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. 
Some of the agenda items for that meeting will include:
- Discussion on the October 26th, public information meeting
- Preparations for annual report (Kelly Bacon can give an example)
