2.1. Consider and Take Action on Official Notice from The Oklahoma State Department of Education Regarding East Middle School
Commentary:
East Middle School has met the exit target based on designation criteria in accordance with Section 1111(c)(4)(D) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). For FY 2025, the following options are available.
Option 1: The site may continue working with the school support specialist designated by the Office of School Support (OSS) through the 2024-25 school year. The site will complete a Continuous Improvement Plan, receive a monthly site visit from a Support Specialist, and receive continued Title 1 Section 1003a funding in the amount of $50,000 which will be allocated July 1. Option 2: The site may discontinue working with the school support specialist designated by the OSS for the 2024-25 school year. Support, monitoring, and additional funding for the next school year will end. OSS will partner with EMS to aid in budgeting and allocating any carry-over funding for the 2024-25 school year. Carry-over funding will expire on December 31, 2024. PCPS Administration recommends Option 2.
