VIII.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Karpe gave the superintendent's report. He went over the utilities bill. He updated the board on all the completed construction projects. We were able to get all the construction done by the start of the school year. Mr. Karpe informed the board of a new fence going around the playground to ensure the safety of the students and to also help keep unwanted visitors off of the playground after school hours. Plans are to update the entire fence around the playground, but right now we are just replacing it in front of the elementary. Mr. Karpe said patrons are very happy with the security updates and he has had nothing but positive feedback concerning carrying weapons on campus. Enrollment is around 1168. This number has stayed consistent for the past 30 years.
