III.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Karpe gave the superintendent's report. He went over the utilities and transportation reports for the month. He updated the board on construction projects around the campus. Mr. Karpe informed the board of a $6,000 grant awarded to the elementary. Mrs. Turner wrote this grant and will be writing more in the future. Shelby Lam has been selected to perform in the Macey's Day Parade in New York City on Thanksgiving 2023. The board approved to pay for her fees and travel expenses. We will be purchasing a new bus and band trailer with the remaining transportation bond fund. New vape detectors were installed in all bathrooms on campus. Mr. Karpe read the principal's reports. Elementary-4th grade bathrooms are very nice after the remodel, everyone is participating in the 12 days of Christmas in the elementary, shop with a cop helped over 60 students last week, 1200 food items were collected for the Joy Store, and the 4th and 5th grade spelling bee is Friday the 16th.
Middle School- Students of the month, academic team won districts and will advance to the next tournament, the vocal concert was a huge success, and the HS boy's basketball team won the Latta tournament. High School-Students of the month were announced and band concert will be on the 13th. Mr. Karpe read the drop out report for 2021. The rate was 2.1% compared to the state's 5.5%. A remediation report was also read. |

Discussion:
New business-Colton Hines turned in his timesheet late on December 9th. Mrs. Hines had already posted the agenda. His compensation was not reflected on the payroll change order. His compensation will be less than $250.
