II. Lindsay Band Booster representative to address board
Discussion:
Jessica Parker spoke on behalf of the Lindsay Band Boosters. She presented to the board their desire to have a full time assistant band director in class full time. Currently, the assistant band director is our elementary music teacher. They feel he would be an asset in the band room full time alongside the band director.

Discussion:
Mr. Karpe gave the superintendent's report. He discussed membership report, transportation report, and utilities report. He informed the board of the updates to the old band room and current art room. The STEM program will be moved to the art room and the MS/HS art program will be moved to the old band room. He went over board member points.

Mr. Karpe explained the 8 period day. This will extend our day by 10 minutes. The students would be able to choose more electives with this schedule.

Discussion:
Mr. Karpe and the board discussed the band booster's recommendation to move the assistant band director from elementary music to full time in the band department. Mr. Kapre mentioned the need to hire a Spanish teacher, reading specialist, and writing coach. The board would like for Mr. Karpe to go over the budget for next year and see if hiring these positions are possible.
