IV.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Karpe started the superintendent's report with the membership report. Membership is down a little from last month. Mr. Karpe stated he is excited about the new STEM lab and has been in contact with a STEM teacher. She is going to help set up the STEM lab. The lab will be able to offer several classes for 6th-10th grades. Mr. Karpe revised the transportation and utilities report. Mrs. Blough came and talked to the board about her Art program in for 1st-6th grade. She was excited to announce 10 winners from Lindsay Schools for Ag in the Classroom poster contest. This contest is for any student grades PK-12th in the state of Oklahoma.

Mr. Burrell gave the elementary report. The 5th grade academic team participated in Area, Hutch Simonton will participate in the county spelling bee this month.

Discussion:
Amanda Bunch requested an activity fund be opened for the Alt Ed program. The ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION FUND (844) shall be used to handle the monies raised by the Alternative Education students. Fundraising shall include the sale of concessions and sundries approved by the board. Expenditures will be related to the Alternative Education program and may include expenses incurred for the participation in trips, materials, equipment, etc., and donations to worthwhile causes.
