June 24, 2026 6:00pm - Board of Education Special Meeting

Discussion:  Meeting was called to order at 6:11 p.m. by Board President,
Eddie White

Discussion:  Melonie Hau and Joe Siano from the OSSBA conducted
the board training.  They spoke with the board regarding
them (the board) and the superintendent having a partnership, and
working together to build a better team.  Other topics
talked about were The Board & the Mission, Elements
of Trust, District Vision and Goals, Staff Relations,
Assessing Teaching and Learning, Student Services, 
Community Engagement, Budget, and Policies.  It was
discussed that the school's policies have not been
reviewed for many years, so that needs to be done.
Melonie suggested having Julie Miller come out because
she is good with policies, and can also go over the "Open
Meeting Act" with the board.  The board agreed it was a
good idea to have Julie Miller come so Mr. Thompson
will contact her and see what dates she is available
and let the board know.
