6. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT: JEFF THOMPSON
Discussion:
Mr. Thompson presented the Superintendent Report.
He went over Board Member Points with each member that was present, and ask them to review them for accuracy. He and Jeremy Baggett, Board Member, attended the OSSBA Conference. Mr. Thompson stated it was good, and this year Governor Stitt was present and spoke about talking nice to each other, which is something Mr. Thompson has stressed alot on. Jeremy Baggett, Board Member, stated he really enjoyed the motivational speaker that spoke. The speaker talked about setting goals and not being stagnant, and moving forward and doing what is best for the kids. He stated the classes were good, it was good to mingle with others who are in your same position, and he knows now who to contact if he has a question or needs something. October 24th at 5:30 p.m. will be the District 2 Meeting at Burlington. 3 credits can be obtained for attending that meeting. Mr. Thompson then gave a vehicle update. The Maverick is built but no delivery date yet, 3 Route Buses are in-one Route Bus delivered, but one had to be sent back because of a door issue, the 29 Passenger Bus will be delivered sometime in October, and the Activity Bus will hopefully be here by October. He is hoping next week he can get on Purple Wave for surplus. |

7. PRINCIPAL'S REPORT- JEFF THOMPSON AND BRAD SHRYOCK
Discussion:
The Elementary report was given by Mr. Thompson.
Enrollment is 130. Elementary Activities are as follows- Fire Pit Fundraiser which is going over great, Cookie Dough Fundraiser which is doing well also. Mr. Thompson wants to thank the parents for their efforts. Grandparents Day was a success. the Music Program and Community Feed will be Wednesday September 18th with feed at 5:30 p.m. and Program at 6:30 p.m. The churches are helping with the feed, and it will all be held at Sharon. The Football schedule is as follows- September 16th at home vs Waynoka 5:30 p.m., September 23rd at home vs Shattuck 5:30 p.m., September 26th at home vs Buffalo 6:30 p.m., October 7th at Beaver 5:30 p.m. Pre-K-11th grade will have School and Sports pictures taken September 17th. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held September 26th 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and September 27th 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No school on the 27th. Teacher Amazon Pages are still open and will be available all year, PTO is purchasing classroom supplies for students, and Students of the Month for August are- Pre-K - Truett Marlatt K - Skylar Bonnell 1st - Marlee Bellows 2nd - Trace Sharpton 3rd - Tatum Anthem 4th - Amy Paez Flores 5th - Lee McLain 6th - Charlie Carter Mr. Brad Shryock presented the High School Report. Enrollment is 87. The Local Fair was last Friday, the Jr. Class worked the concession, FCCLA made funnel cakes which went over great, and they made twice as many as last year. The student body all made an appearance Friday afternoon, and the Livestock Show was excellent on Saturday. Volleyball continues with both JH and HS teams having a great season. They have won trophies in 2 different tournaments, and the HS girls are ranked 15th. JH and HS Football has had one scrimmage apiece and the first JH game will be Monday the 16th at Mutual vs Waynoka. The first HS game is the 19th at Corn Bible Academy. An AC unit has been put in the weight room (parts and labor donated), FCCLA went to Enid today for the Fall Leadership Conference, and FFA competed in 2 trap shoot competitions this week at Balko and Laverne. There is a home volleyball game Friday at 5:00 p.m. vs Academy so everyone come out and watch. Mr. B. Shryock stated that in spite of all the activities, we are having school every day, and the teachers are doing a fantastic job making that happen. Mr. Thompson added that the Sharon-Mutual ballgames are now being live streamed on SMtrojans on smart tv's. |

10. BOARD TO CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON BID FOR
PERIMETER FENCE AT AG BUILDING AND FOOTBALL FIELD IN MUTUAL
Discussion:
Bids were taken for the perimeter fencing and
shown to the board members. The SRO monies will be used for this project to add security to the Mutual campus. Karn's Construction. bid $57,865.00, and Rockin S Supply $28,125.60. Mr. Thompson reported that the baseball field will be torn out and rocked (rock will be donated), they will put solar lights at the entrances and any other areas needed, and there will no longer be access to the Ag building. The project will be started after football season so will be ready for next season. The board voted to go with Rockin S Supply's bid.
