Elementary Principal - Chris Roby
Discussion:
The last few weeks we hosted our 5/6th gr quiz bowl. They went 2-1. We sent design and do team and they submitted a playground design and did a great job. Last Tuesday, Mr. Horn took 6-7th gr band to a nursing home and played music. It was really good. Upcoming- 6th gr STUCO will go visit the Capitol on Dec 15th and take a tour and interact with some Representatives. Dec 16 is our Christmas program in the old gym at 7pm. Middle of the year numbers- Math we had a little dip after break but our goal still for that number is 80%. Reading has continued to go up. Goal there is 80%. State report card came out and the Elementary had a B.

JH/HS Principal - G.W. Parham
Discussion:
The robotics team hosted a league meet Saturday and went 6 and 0 winning all the matches that day and are currently placed first in our league and 3rd in the combined league. The League Championship will be held February 7 at kingfisher. If anyone would like to volunteer, please let Mr. Wilczek know. Congrats to the HS Quiz Bowl team for winning Regionals! We beat some quality teams, like Drummond. They have an hour built into their schedule specifically to practice for these events. We did really well against them and are headed to Area! Congrats also to the JH Quiz Bowl team. They finished this year 16-0! This is actually their 2nd year in a row to accomplish this!
Our state report card is out and we are proud to have received an overall B for JH and A for HS. Mr. Parham handed out state testing and ACT results. |

Superintendent - Josh Sumrall
Discussion:
Proud of our state report cards. HS- A JH- B Elem B. It's good to have data to help us with our goals. In our counties (Canadian and Kingfisher) we were one of the highest. We are wrapping up the first semester and are proud of our students and staff for a good first semester.

Financial Report
Discussion:
General Fund- 2.6 million and Bldg Fund- 2.2 million. Mr. Sumrall handed out some financial reports to give an overview of where we have been and where we are at now and moving forward. Payroll is our biggest expense. Mr. Sumrall discussed some cost-saving ideas. One thing we can do is move some expenses to the building fund. Also suspending the employee bonuses. If an employee leaves, and it's a position that can be absorbed, we will not fill it. We are still not headed for having to go back on the state aide formula. There was discussion back and forth about the budget between the board and Mr. Sumrall.
