Elementary Principal - Chris Roby
Discussion:
Upcoming Open House Tuesday 5-7pm. Following week on the 21st we will do an expectation night with parents over curriculum and what to expect. Rough estimate 235 kids enrolled in the elementary. We were around 255 last year. No major changes in the handbook for this coming school year. Mr. Alig had a parent ask him about a block teaching schedule. Doing 4 core subjects with the kids in grades 5th and 6th. We wanted to try this to give equal time per subject and teachers teach specialty. 3rd and 4th are going to do one split where they switch once during the day.

Discussion:
Summer crew did a great job with facilities. Mrs. K was up here a lot this summer and we appreciate her hard work. Meet the teacher is next Tuesday from 5-7pm. Baseball and softball start next Monday.

Superintendent - Josh Sumrall
Discussion:
Local media over some standards- we are going to tell our teachers to continue teaching the standards as they are, and wait for the other to play out. There will be more to report on with that later. We have an issue with the netting at the fields. We are getting quotes on extending the netting to protect the homes better. In service starts Monday. 3 days and then students will be here. Want to commend our summer help. It all looks really good.

Carryover June 30th was $5,072,506.60. Bdlg- $2,152,532.07. July 31st finances are 4.7 million in general fund and bldg didn't change at all. We did receive last year's teacher pay raise money today from the State Dept of Ed for over $200,000.
