Discussion:
3rd quarter reports handed out to the board. This time of the year growth becomes a little slower. We set benchmark at 50%. Working on reading currently. Tier 3 that need the most instruction- that number is less than 10%. We had our last QB match last week. 4th grade finished second. 5-6th went to Enid for Area and they won that. Combined score of 1200 points.

Parent/Teacher conferences are tonight and tomorrow from 3:30-7:00. Please come visit with your child’s teacher if you get the chance! Art is preparing for their gallery auction night. It will be on April 19th. This is a district wide event. Student artwork will be for sale. 1st- 5th grade will have collaborative art items available. 6th- 12th will have individual art pieces available. There will be photography, resin work, pottery, and paintings available for purchasing. The public is welcome and encouraged to come and see the talent at our school. 14 Speech students have qualified and will be competing in 23 events at the Regional Speech Tournament on March 22-23 in Weatherford. Congratulations to the several students who recently showed livestock and earned entry into the premium auction in Kingfisher. Okarche students were very well represented. Basketball season has finished up. The girls lost out in the 2nd round of the Area Tournament and the boys won the State Championship!!! Congrats to both teams on great seasons. Softball and baseball have started up. Softball won the Consolation bracket of the Waukomis Tournament this past weekend! Color Guard finished up their competition in 8th place. Very proud of their work and efforts. Lastly, congratulations to the Okarche Band for qualifying for the State Band competition. They will be competing March 29th, best of luck to them!
