JH/HS Assistant Principal - G.W. Parham
Discussion:
Mr. Westmoreland said we had 8 students bring home trophies from Crescent speech tourn. Regionals 19 students will be going at SWOSU campus. 8th grade had 3 students sweep the essay contest. FFA- 11 students made the sale. OYE starts tomorrow. HS Ball has finished their season. Boys in Regional consolation and girls at State semi finals. Had a compliment on our boys team from a school officer. Baseball started tonight and is up 12-1 against Hinton.
Mr. Harris was in attendance and discussed their competitions. We are technically JH but we had two Seniors on so we got to compete as HS. Two portions- concert where you prepare music. 10% of our kids didn't go. They still did great. They didn't make state this year but they received 1 superior and 2 excellent ratings. I believe next year we will make it. Second portion was sight reading. Never seen the music before and you have 8 minutes to prepare without playing it. That is usually the part people panic on but our group did very well. It really tests how well they know music. They got a superior on that portion. Color Guard- we are preparing for marching band in a few years. Our color guard beat some 6A schools. They are crushing it. Two more competitions. Sat the 19th and two weeks later is the championship. Thank you so much for the band room. We appreciate it. |

Superintendent - Josh Sumrall
Discussion:
Cameras on campus updated. Monitor in the office where we can see all the cameras. The elementary will be the same way this Wednesday. Parents have come in and seen the monitors and really like it. A couple of Monday's ago we had the police come and do an active shooter situation for training. That went good. Throughout the playoffs there have been a lot of teams that argue with the refs or tear up locker rooms and such. Told our teams how much we appreciate them handling themselves better than others. OSSBA Region meeting this Thursday. Registered everyone because it's free but if you want to go you are registered. At Redlands

Financial Report
Discussion:
Still doing well. Got another big check since our last meeting. Rob A asked how the lawsuit with windmills is going. Sumrall said it's in the State Supreme Court right now and waiting on a ruling.
