Elementary Principal - Chris Roby
Discussion:
4th grade won match in Chisholm. Henry McIlvain won school spelling bee and went on to district spelling bee. He qualified to go to county now. Elem music program Feb 28th at 7pm at HS gym. Kingfisher fine arts going again this year. The kids sing and they have some art and poetry readings. March 8-9. 7 teachers doing letters training. New science of reading and new curriculum coming out. Two 4 hour trainings and there is 5 rounds of it. Last week Grand Canyon University came to talk about finishing degrees. We have 2 para's who signed up. They will receive 18% off their tuition. Finished 3rd round of star testing. 80% tested basic or above. Progress monitoring. Book fair Mar 2-10. TAPS bingo Night April 1.

JH/HS Assistant Principal - G.W. Parham
Discussion:
Past weekend Robotics was in the state tourn. 2/6 won. Speech has had 4 speech contests. 3 were virtual. Very well. Overall winner at Comanche. All 8 received at least one medal. OHS was sweepstakes winner at Weatherford. Last weekend ball teams won Districts and move on to Regionals Thursday night at Regent Prep.

Superintendent - Josh Sumrall
Discussion:
Feb 21 we have PD for certified staff. Chief Smith will come in and do active shooter training. This Friday gave OK to redo the security cameras in the district. Monitors in the front offices with cameras on all doors. Regionals this week. We will provide pep buses for students and community. HS academic team made state also. They were supposed to compete a couple weeks ago but it will be April 2nd now because of weather. It will be at Rose State. Our house we own at 6th and Kansas. It is vacant. Siding is falling off. Needs a lot of work done to it. In the past it was talked about tearing it down and make a driveway.

Financially doing really well. The general fund and building fund balances are the most in school history. Gross production is above what we expected.

Discussion:
Thursday was the bid package opening. The GMP sits at just under 1.1 million for the band room. We have drawings for softball and baseball and trying to stay under that 2 million mark. Would like to get the GMP approved and start construction on the band room within 30 days. We have 1.4 million in building fund. Say we use that for band room. If ball fields come in at 2 million we can do lease purchase at the bank here and do our building fund money each year to that.
