Superintendent - Josh Sumrall
Discussion:
This past Friday at the A and B state tourn Makenna Sadler sang the National Anthem. She represented us well. During the snow storm we had a pipe burst in SPED building. We had some water damage and we had a restoration company come out and took care of that. It could have been a lot worse. We had one bust in the old elem as well. We have fiber pulled and utilities off and ready to tear it down. 2 bills I've been following- Transfer bill. We don't know where this is going to go. We still have the right to deny, but we are more limited in the reasons why. What we can do is set capacity at each grade level. We will have a waiting list of transfers who can come in if we drop below capacity. We are getting calls every week wanting to transfer in. School funding bill doesn't really affect us since we aren't on the formula. The money will follow the student a little better. We hosted Districts and Regionals. Had many compliments on our facilities. Want to thank the community for when we had the snow. We had a lot of people come up and help clear parking lots and such so we could have school. We are going to receive $118k in Covid money. We have to use it on something Covid related. Talking to the principals, we have had outsourced counselors coming into the schools before covid and we would like to bring a counselor in for the elementary and have some mental health assistance.

|
Update and discussion on construction projects and plans.
Discussion:
Plans that were drawn up before Sumrall came. Band room- maybe south of the ag building. That way if we need to expand the HS later we can. Utilities run through south of the ag room though. Probably the same size as the ag room. Finance wise- we will have about 1.2 million in building fund. If we use our building fund to build band room and baseball softball I think we won't have to touch the general fund. Research how big of a band room we would like.
