Elementary Principal - Chris Roby
Discussion:
Presented the Elementary tentative back to school plan to the board. Discussed change in pick up/drop off procedures. Will try to keep the day as normal as possible. Lunch will take place in the cafeteria. Lunch personnel will man the salad bar. After school programs like Lego League, Art, Stem, YAC visitors will be contained to the office. Birthdays- limited to packaged items to start with. Same with snacks in Pre-k and K. We will have an enrichment time in the mornings at the beginning of school in the computer lab with Mrs. Mingus.

JH/HS Principal - Lisa Munson
Discussion:
The begin year plan will start with checking out chromebooks to each student when they come to get their schedules. No lockers will be used at the beginning of the school year. We will have a plan for gym bag storage. A lot of teachers are going to go as paperless as possible. Encouraging desks to be 3ft apart. HS/JH will be the only ones in the cafeteria during their lunch period. Still working on the beginning of the day plan to keep from congregating in the commons. Limited guest speakers and field trips.

Discussion:
Summer help has been getting the school back together for the new year. In service will be Monday-Wednesday next week. We will be working on getting internships for our college bound kids. Isha Kirby will lead that. We hired an elementary music teacher and HS band teacher. We would like to look at building a band room in the near future. They will practice in the gym lobby for now.

Discussion and possible action to implement a Re-Entry Plan for FY 2020-2021 as submitted, or with modifications, and to authorize the Superintendent to make modifications as may be necessary from time to time provided that any material modifications shall be reviewed by the Board of Education at its next meeting.

Discussion:
Showed video of masks vs no masks. Testing oxygen under masks. Presented tentative plan to the board. Principals spoke to their teachers to get thoughts on masks and safety. Hand sanitizers are in all rooms and entrances. Fog machines will sanitze buses. Temp checks at the doors. Change the plan to say "recommend" instead of "optional". The plan is always a work in progress. We will get some masks from the pharmacy. Gov. Stitt says will follow CDC guidelines.
