6. Public Comments.
Discussion:
Lourie Myers, Child Welfare Specialist for Caddo and Grady county, spoke to the board about the desperate need for foster homes in Caddo county. At the present time there are only four foster homes in Caddo county and there are 147 foster children.

7. National Indian Education Association and Communities In Schools to address the board in regard to the college and career readiness grant that was awarded to Anadarko Public Schools.
Discussion:
Representatives from National Indian Education Association and Communities in Schools attended the board meeting and briefly spoke about the Communities in Schools program. Donna Bussell was introduced as director of the program for Anadarko. The goal of the program is to build relationships that create a Circle of Success, empowering students to be successful inside and outside the classroom.
