Mrs. Purdy noted that this week is National School Psychology Week and asked Mr. David Slaughter to be recognized for all he does for our District. Mrs. Purdy requested that the High School Assistant Principals and Counselors give an update on the construction progress and the remote learning. The contractor, Joe D. Hall sends weekly updates to give progress reports. They are on schedule if not slightly ahead of schedule for completion. The teachers are doing a good job of teaching considering the circumstances. Mrs. Purdy informed the board that we need to have a policy in effect by January 1, 2022 regarding student transfers. She gave them all sample policies and next month they will need to vote on the new policy for our District. Lastly, Mrs. Purdy asked Mrs. Jamie Kokaly to give an update on the strategic plan in the connections goal area. Mrs. Kokaly discussed with the board what the district and teachers have been working on to communicate better with parents and community, to increase student engagement, and to provide more opportunities for students. |
