Call the meeting to order and Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.
Vote to approve/disapprove a contract with Jumpin Jiminy Inc. for slide/jump equipment.
To approve a contract with Jumpin Jiminy Inc. for slide/jump equipment passed with a motion by Shirley Woods and a second by Curtice Hillis.

Information & Discussion Item - Budget
Discussion:  Dr. Mary Webb updated the Board with the district budget. The district saved $1,880,619.00 during the 200-10 school year. With the cost savings, projected backfill and a donation of $400,000.00 from the Bartlett Foundation the district will have a projected 10% carryover for 2009-10. Carla Cale, U.S.E. Representative, presented the Board with some projected numbers of staff donations made to help with the district’s budget. The cost savings of staff donations will be added to the 2009-10 fiscal year cost savings. The 2010-11 budget is projected with a 10% cut. The district is projecting a $1,952,127.00 cost savings for next year and will need $1,378,663.04 to have a 6% carryover for 2010-11. A total of 23 letters will be delivered to temporary certified teachers by the end of the next week announcing that the district will not be renewing their contract. Dr. Webb is hoping to rehire 6 teachers for open Pre-K teaching positions this coming fall. The Board will be updated has new factors come in.
