1. Call to Order
Discussion:
The committee was called to order at 6:41 PM

2. Determination of Legality of the Committee Meeting and Roll Call
Discussion:
Chairperson Roach acknowledged that the notice of the committee meeting was given in advance by publication appearing in the November 27, 2025 edition of the Doniphan Herald in accordance with the Board-approved method for giving notice of meetings and as required by the Nebraska Revised Statute 79-724. Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all members of the Board of Education. The availability of the agenda was communicated in the publicized notice and a current copy of the Agenda was maintained as stated in the publicized notice. All proceedings of the Board of Education, except as may be hereinafter noted, were taken while the convened meeting is open to the attendance of the public as indicated by the Open Meetings Act on the West wall of the board room

4.1. Review the Requirements of the Committee
Discussion:
Dr. Braden reviewed the committee's requirements as they relate to State Statute 79-724.

4.2. Review of the current D-T Social Studies Curriculum
Discussion:
Mr. Mogilefsky and Mrs. Goracke updated the board on ongoing efforts to address the curriculum's expectations. This specific update focused on the contributions of various groups to
a) the development and growth of America into a great nation, b) art, music, education, medicine, literature, science, politics, and government, and c) the military in all this nation's wars |
