Recognition of School Board Service.  

CONSENT DOCKET:  All items listed are considered to be routine by the Marietta Board of Education and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate vote on these items unless a Board Member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from consent status and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda.  

The consent agenda consists of the discussion, consideration and approval of the following items:

Written minutes of Special Meeting on December 1st, 2023, Special Meeting on December 4th, 2023 and Regular Meeting on December 4th, 2023.  

General Fund encumbrances PO #'s 378 thru 394; Building Fund PO # 12; and Bond Fund PO # 3.

Increase to General Fund PO #'s 236 and 319 and Child Nutrition PO # 2.

Written recommendation to grant (5) additional activity absences for listed middle school and high school students.  

Superintendent's Report

Presentation by Primary Principal, Ann Rutledge, and Elementary Principal, Dana McMillin, regarding site vision and progress.  

Consider and take action on a Real Estate Donation Agreement providing for Marietta Public Schools to convey certain real estate consisting of approximately five acres commonly known as the Greenville School Campus to the Board of County Commissioners of Love County, Oklahoma, without consideration.  

Consider and take action to accept any particular offer or reject all offers received for the purchase of surplus property commonly referred to as the Ag Farm and more particularly described as follows:  

The East 335 feet of the W/2 of NW/4 of NW/4 of Section 21, Township 7 South, Range 2 East of the Indian Meridian and Baseline, said tract being further described by metes and bounds as follows:  Beginning at a point on the North line of said Section 21 which is 325 feet East of the NW Corner of said section, thence South and parallel to the West line of said section a distance of 1320 feet to a point in the South line of the NW/4 of NW/4 of said Section 21; thence East 335 feet to the SE Corner of the W/2 of NW/4 of NW/4 of said Section 21; thence North along the East line of said W/2 of NW/4of NW/4 a distance of 1320 feet to the NE Corner of said W/2 of NW/4 of NW/4; thence West along the North Line of said Section 21 a distance of 335 feet to the point of beginning, containing 10.15 acres, more or less, in Love County, Oklahoma. 

And

All of that part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, Indian Meridian and Baseline, Love County, Oklahoma, which lies to the northern right-of-way line of State Highway No. 32. 

Consider and take action on resignations.  

Proposed executive session to discuss the evaluation and employment of Brandi Naylor as Superintendent for the 2024-25 school year and the employment of a Middle School Teacher, Middle School Teacher's Aide, Primary Teacher's Aide and High School Secretary for the remainder of the 23-24 school year. 25 O.S. Consider and take action on the renewal of Superintendent's contract for the 2024-25 school year.  25 O.S. Sec. 307 (B)(1)
