18. Appeal of Superintendent’s decision in the matter of the Grievance of Cara Hall (In accordance with the district’s policy concerning grievances, the Grievant has appealed the Superintendent’s decision to the Board of Education. The Board acts as an appellate body by reviewing the decisions at lower levels of the grievance procedure and the oral and written evidence presented through the grievance process. The Board may ask for oral or written evidence from the parties and any other individual it deems relevant.)

24. The Lawton Public School District encourages participation from all of its patrons. If participation at any public meeting is not possible due to a disability, notification to the clerk of the board of education at 580-357-6900, extension 2074, at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting is encouraged to make the necessary accommodations. The district may waive the 48-hour rule if an interpreter for the deaf (signing) is not the necessary accommodation.
