Moffat Consolidated School District #2 exists so that our students have a safe learning environment with unique learning opportunities that prepare them for their future. Welcoming Notes: Welcome to the regular meeting of the Moffat Consolidated School District 2. The board’s meeting time is dedicated to its strategic mission and top-priority focus areas. Your insights are welcomed as part of the Board’s business meeting. “Public Participation” is an opportunity to present brief comments or pose questions to the board for consideration or follow-up. Each person is asked to limit comments to three minutes. The boundaries are designed to help keep the meeting focused and should in no way limit conversations beyond the board meeting.

Description:
Before we begin our work tonight, it is important to pause. Across our country this week, we've been confronted again and again with tragedy — violence that has shaken schools and communities and taken lives far to soon. In our school district, we affirm that schools are not a place for politics. They are places for nurturing individuals, honoring diversity, and for teaching our children how to work with one another, not against each other. Our children deserve classrooms where hope takes root, not fear. Our staff deserve workplaces where they can focus on teaching, not merely surviving. We are entrusted, as leaders, with more than policy and budgets. We are entrusted with setting the tone for our community. Let us commit ourselves not to apathy, not to division, but to standing straighter, listening deeper, and working harder to ensure that here, in our schools, every child knows they are valued, protected, and believed in. Let the business of tonight be guided by that higher purpose.

Thank you to our Moffat K-12 staff for representing the district at the SLV Educator Conference and a special thank you to Mrs. Kaiser for presenting breakout sessions at the conference - we heard our staff was loud and Cowboy proud!
Congratulations to our Knowledge Bowl Students participating at Adams State last week - well done all of you with personal bests and taking 2nd in JV. As always, the board wants to express support of our Football and Volleyball athletes! Go Cowboys! It was great to see our grandparents joining in at Goodies with Grandparents. Moffat K-12 is mentioned in the CDE Promising Practices Publication — Kudos to Mrs. Garcia and her staff and an enthusiastic thank you to Mrs. Kayser for submitting a write-up of the Winter Family Night activities. We are so proud of our Moffat CSD #2 board for their work writing adopted Resolution Urging the Colorado General Assembly to Ensure Educational Equity in Rural Districts Under the Implementation of HB25-1320. |
