Description:

Description:

6)a)3) Consider Good Cause Exceptions for the 2025-2026 School Year
Description:
Texas Education Code section 37.0814 requires school district's to determine the appropriate number of armed security officers for each district campus. This resolution is to claim a good cause exception under House Bill 3 due to lack of available funding and/or lack of available qualified personnel.

6)a)4) Consider renewing the annual Tarrant County 4-H and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Adjunct and Extracurricular Agreement.
Description:
Our Godley FFA Advisors are not able to attend every show across the state. This agreement allows one of the Tarrant County 4-H and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service advisors to serve as an advisor for our Godley FFA students when our Godley FFA advisors cannot attend. |

6)b) Consider Adopting Policy EFB(LOCAL) - Instructional Resources Library Materials
Description:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the District provides a wide range of library materials for students and faculty that support student achievement and present varying levels of difficulty, diversity of appeal, and a variety of points of view. This policy also provides standards for collection development and the selection and evaluation of library materials. |

6)c) Consider Adoption of FNCE(LOCAL): Personal Telecomunications/Electronic Device
Description:
The state of Texas recently passed legislation requiring a policy prohibiting students from using cell phones and smart watches on school property during school day. This policy complies with the new law and brings us into compliance. |

6)d) Consider Order Appointing Election Judge and Alternate Judge for the November 4, 2025 Bond Election for Godley ISD
Description:
Each election administered by the district, the board approves the appointment of the Election Judge and Alternate Judge. For the November 4, 2025 Bond Election for Godley ISD Pam Mourning will be the election judge and alternate judge will be Vicki Weaver.

Description:
Review of the preliminary FIRST rating for 2024-2025, based on the 2023-2024 fiscal year data. |

6)f) Tax Rate Review - Hill College
Description:
Consider tax rate proposal for Hill College and recommendation to hold a public hearing at the September meeting for adoption. |

6)g) Tax Rate Review
Description:
Review of the Godley ISD tax rate proposal timeline for September, Truth in Taxation documents, and tax rate related to the original 2025-2026 budget. |

6)h) Budget Amendment
Description:
Consider budget amendment to provide the proposed raises for all GISD staff from HB 2 funds and local funds. |

6)i) Consider Approval of School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Membership for the 25-26 School Year
Description:
The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) helps ensure that the health education instruction in the district aligns with local community values. The council provides an annual report to the school board in accordance with Education Code 28.004(a). The SHAC committee is composed of at least five members, with the majority being parents of students enrolled in the district who are not employed by the district. |
