Grand National Horseman Association National Finals- The CVB Advisory Council has recommended approving funding in the amount of $2,900 to be paid out of the Coliseum made payable to the Great Plains Coliseum. The event is expecting 275 local participants, 75 regional participants, and 50 out-of-state participants. The funding formula showed a value of $2,900 for this event. The Grand National Horseman Association Finals will take place from July 20-28, 2024.

Lawton Rangers Rodeo- The CVB Advisory Council has recommended approving funding in the amount of $8,000 for sponsorship to be paid out of Special Events made payable to the Historical Association of the Lawton Rangers. The event is expecting 25,000 local participants, 10,000 regional participants, and 1,500 local participants. The funding formula showed a value of $7,500 for this event. The Lawton Rangers Rodeo will take place from August 7-10, 2024.

V.i. Oklahoma Holocaust Legislation Coalition Summer Teacher Conference- This event is a president’s approval for $1,000. It will take place at Cameron University and the group has a room block with the Hilton Garden Inn. The Oklahoma Holocaust Legislation Coalition Summer Teacher Conference will take place from June 18-19, 2024.

V.j. Let’s Get Lawton Moving at the Tomato Festival- The CVB Advisory Council has recommended approving funding in the amount of $1,770 to be paid out of Special Events. The event is expecting 3,000 local participants, 1,000 regional participants, and 200 out-of-state participants. The event is expecting 2 room nights. The funding formula showed a value of $1,770 for this event. Let’s get Lawton moving at the Tomato Festival will take place on July 13, 2024.

V.k. 2024 Lawton City Wide Garage Sales- The CVB Advisory Council has tabled this event to allow the collection and confirmation of additional information and to confirm event approval with the City of Lawton. The Lawton City Wide Garage Sales event is scheduled for October 2-13, 2024.

V.l. Boots and Bling Line Dance Showcase- The CVB Advisory Council has tabled this event due to an incomplete budget and request for the previous year’s end-of-event budget. The Boots and Bling Line Dance Show Case is scheduled for September 20-22, 2024.

Oklahoma High School Rodeo Presented by Lawton Rangers- The CVB Advisory Council has recommended approving funding in the amount of $1,800 to be paid out of Sports Promotion made payable to the Lawton Rangers contingent on city budget confirmation. The event is expecting 110 local participants, 500 regional participants, and 50 out-of-state participants. The event is expecting 50 room nights. The funding formula showed a value of $1,800 for this event. Oklahoma High School Rodeo Presented by Lawton Rangers event is scheduled for August 24-25, 2024.

Oklahoma Council of the Blind Conference and Convention- The CVB Advisory Council has recommended approving funding in the amount of $1,600 to be paid out of Special Events to the Hilton, contingent on city budget confirmation. The event is expecting 45 local participants, 25 regional participants, and 5 out-of-state participants. The event is expecting 130 room nights. The funding formula showed a value of $1,600 for this event. The Oklahoma Council of the Blind Conference and Convention will take place from September 27-29, 2024.
